Lisa Moss
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist - LMFT
Hi, I’m Lisa Moss, a registered Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT). I work with children, teens, couples, and adults, using a variety of approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, EMDR, and the Gottman Method for Couples.
I believe in creating a comfortable environment for my clients, so feel free to bring your pet along—they're always welcome to give their seal of approval! As a proud parent of two furry children and one human, I understand the ups and downs of parenting and family dynamics.
I received my Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, specializing in trauma, from Pacific Oaks College in California, and my Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications from William Paterson University (WPU) in New Jersey.
With a specialization in trauma and over five years of experience working with diverse populations in both community mental health and private practice, I strive to provide culturally sensitive support. My volunteer work at Children’s Hospital of L.A. (CHLA) and Kensington Assisted Living Facility for Memory Care has enriched my experience further.
I have training and experience in crisis management and have worked with clients facing a range of issues, including PTSD, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, ADHD, military trauma, gender dysphoria, domestic violence, grief, phase-of-life changes, fertility struggles, divorce, and substance abuse. I welcome and support members of the LGBTQIA+, Latinx, and POC communities.
