Hi, I'm Shabana Haider, an associate therapist at Find Your Balance Center for Growth. With a diverse cultural background, being half Persian and half Indian, I bring variety perspectives to the practice. Proficient in multiple languages including Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Hindi, Burmese, and Farsi, currently learning Arabic and Pushto.
I have worked at Medication Assistance Treatment Clinic (MAT) for nearly six years as a substance abuse counselor/group facilitator, eight months in outpatient treatment facility as an assessment counselor/group facilitator. In addition to my dedication to meet my requirements for my marriage, family therapist program, my internship was completed at a private practice in San Diego. I have also worked at a residential as an AMFT/group facilitator and remote facility as a lead therapist/group facilitator.
I work with a wide range of clients, including individuals dealing with addiction, trauma, couples, children, adolescents, LGBTQ individuals, and families. My approach is tailored to meet the unique needs of each client, providing a supportive environment for growth and healing. I utilize various therapeutic methods to support my clients, including: Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Client Centered Therapy, Family System.
I have earned my master’s degree from Capella University, an online accredited university and bachelor's degree in psychology. I am currently a Ph.D. candidate at Pepperdine University. As an associate therapist, I am committed to helping my clients achieve balance and personal growth. My compassionate approach and dedication to professional development makes me a valuable resource for those seeking mental health support.
